CEP Credentialing Program Seeking Applicants

Campus Compact is pleased to announce the launch of the pilot of Campus Compact’s Community Engagement Professional Credentialing Program.  To begin, Campus Compact is opening two micro-credentials applications to an initial group of 50 pilot participants (25 applicants for each micro-credential). The pilot micro-credential areas will be Community Partnerships & Community Engagement Fundamentals.

Campus Compact is seeking applicants to participate in the pilot cohort!

Interested individuals must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be serving in a role as a community engagement professional (E.g., engagement center staff, faculty, Campus Compact state/regional office staff, or other relevant role/positions);
  2. Believe themselves to be experienced enough to apply for one of the micro-credentials, and demonstrate the key competencies required, without the benefit of additional professional development/training;
  3. Be willing and able to complete their micro-credential submission requirements by no later than March 1st, 2019 (Note that each micro-credential requires the submission of a set of materials, including a reflective essay and other artifacts – please see specific micro-credential for more information)  

If you meet the criteria and are interested in participating, please filling out the following survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3JVM99H) by December 15, 2018. If we receive interest from more that 50 individuals, we will make selections based on the order in which people applied and the desire to have a rich cross-section of participants in the initial group. Those that we are not able to include as pilot participants will be added to a priority list for when the micro-credentials officially launch early in 2019.

Please note that Campus Compact is particularly interested in pilot applicants’ thoughtful feedback on various aspects of the micro-credential program, including their views on the relevance of the key competencies and the coherence of the content, requirements, protocols, and processes we have put in place for them to demonstrate those competencies. 

Pilot participants’ initial feedback will play an important role in assuring the coherency and quality of the program as we move toward a broader launch in early 2019. In other words, we want folks for the pilot who are as interested in contributing to program development as they are in earning the micro-credential!
