Compacts Receive Davis Foundation Grant

Campus Compact for Southern New England (CCSNE), in partnership with Maine Campus Compact (MCC), and New Hampshire Campus Compact (NHCC), has been awarded a $228,996 grant from the Davis Educational Foundation to support curricular innovation and environmental stewardship. The Campuses for Environmental Stewardship (CES) program will train college faculty from 16 baccalaureate degree-granting colleges and universities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island to develop and deliver courses which partner with community organizations to address pressing issues such as environmental stewardship and STEM education. Davis Grant Will Provide Campus Funding for Environmental Stewardship

Massachusetts Campus Compact, in partnership with Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont Campus Compacts, has been awarded a $168,000 grant from the Davis Educational Foundation to support curricular innovation and environmental stewardship. The Campuses for Environmental Stewardship (CES) program will train college faculty from 18 colleges and universities to develop and deliver courses in which students and faculty partner with community organizations to address pressing environmental issues. Through this two-year initiative, more than 70 faculty members working in multidisciplinary teams will work to embed environmental service-learning components into their courses.
