Less than a year ago, we began the process of merging the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island Campus Compacts into Campus Compact for Southern New England (CCSNE) as of July 1, 2017.  Our first priority has been to continue to deliver resources and supports that are aligned with the needs of our member institutions while also developing a new model for transformative impact across state lines and across sectors. CCSNE Announces Boston Office

Campus Compact for Southern New England will spend its first year in Boston, Massachusetts, at 45 Temple Place, beginning in July 2017. The CCSNE office is in the same building as the national Campus Compact office, and New England Board of Higher Education (NEHBE), and offers great opportunities for collaborating with our national office and the many organizations in the Greater Boston area. The office will relocate to a location in central Massachusetts in July 2018.

Announcing the Formation of CCSNE

We are delighted to share that the governing boards of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts Campus Compacts have unanimously voted to merge the three states into a regional Compact for Southern New England. The new operational structure will be launched in July 2017.This is an organizational shift intended to leverage the strong infrastructure for engagement we have collectively built over the past 20+ years and to create a national model for integrated community-based teaching and research across state lines. On Saturday, November 5th the 2016 Student Leadership Conference We the Students, will feature keynote speaker Kamora Le’Ella Herrington. Kamora is the Director of Youth Programming at True Colors, Inc., a support and advocacy organization for sexual minority youth based in Hartford, Connecticut as well as an instructor in the City of Hartford’s YDPA and MMI Institutes.  Herrington has over 20 years of experience in the human services field and has become a vocal advocate for LGBT youth. CTCC welcomes our 2016-17 AmeriCorps VISTA Cohort serving at member campuses throughout the state. CTCC has been a partner with the Corporation for National and Community Service since 2008.   Anne Hofmeister Anne joined Connecticut Campus Compact after serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA  with CTCC serving at Higher Edge, a college access organization located in New London.
